Wheat Bran

Wheat Bran is the hard outer layer of the wheat grain, which is removed when the wheat is processed into refined flour. Wheat bran is one of nature’s richest sources of natural food fiber, recognized for its role in helping to maintain regularity. It contains many important vitamins and minerals such as vitamins B1, B2, B6 and vitamin E, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, magnesium, iron, zinc, selenium, etc., high protein and fatty acids with no cholesterol.

Wheat bran is beneficial toward providing digestive regularity and ending constipation because it contains high dietary fiber. Dietary fiber promotes intestinal health and reduces the risk of many life-threatening diseases such as cancer and diabetes.

Wheat bran must be stored in a vaccum container in a cool storage to prevent it from becoming rancid. A bitter taste is a sign that it has become spoiled and should be discarded.
